The Purpose Driven Life Chapter 1-It All Starts With God

I will be updating daily about my walk with Christ for 40 days. Pray that i'll be able to share my experiences and thoughts everyday as i do have tight schedules once in awhile. Worst come to worst, i MIGHT have to update the next day [I'm emphasizing on 'might']. But by hook or by crook, i'll find a way to update daily.
So..

Chapter 1: It All Starts With God [Partially taken out from the book and minor editing by Laura]

It [Life]'s not about us. It's far greater than everything we'd think it isn't. We were born by GOD'S purpose and for His purpose. This thing "Purpose In Life" [Not the book, but literally what it is] puzzled people for thousands of years because we begin at the wrong starting point; OURSELVES. I am sure we've all come across this situation where we're plain SELF-CENTERED and keep on asking about ourselves ONLY.
• What do I want to be..?
• What should I do with my life..?
• What are my goals, my ambitions, my dreams for my future..?
Even i have been that way. But focusing on just ourselves will never reveal our life's purpose, 'cuz again, it's NOT about us.

For this chapter:
Point to Ponder: It's not about me.
Verse to Remember: Everything got started in Him and finds it's purpose in Him. Colossians 1:16b [Msg]
Question to Consider: In spite of all the advertising around me, how can i remind myself that life is really about living for God, not myself..?

For "Question to Consider", everyone would have their own answers on how they can remind themselves that they live for God and not for themselves. So, my answer would be "to have a strong want/desire". Not the kind of want like one "wanting" an ice-cream, or a new bicycle, or a mansion what-so-ever, but true desire to walk in faith in God's footsteps. With such desire and will to follow Christ as a true believer that one will maintain consistency in reading God's word daily NO MATTER WHAT THE COST. Of course, to acquire such will, one would have to be inspired. By speech/sermon, for example. Or it can be a cycle: by reading and allowing one's self to be swayed by the word of God; getting moved to read and learn more. Hence being an avid reader of the Bible. One would then be constantly reminded of the life they live; a gift from God so that they can be the vessel which God will use to do His miracles and work.

Have i made a mistake anywhere..? Anyone who knows are more than welcome to correct me. (: We grow by learning and i certainly do want to grow out of this little shell. God bless.
